International functions in support of national REDD+ process -> SUPPORT TO COUNTRY ACTION Capacity development, guidelines, technical advice, regional/international workshops, analyses, reviews, backstopping of National Programmes Targeted support (to address a specific need in a country, on demand) Policy Board and Secretariat Global Programme

5-year Global Programme Framework is developed to:  Scale up support to country action to the increasing number of UN-REDD countries  Provide the UN-REDD countries access for support (an additional channel)  Enhance and increase knowledge services  Operationalize the UN-REDD Programme Strategy  Frame future funding allocations The Framework

 Provide comments and feedback -Specifically on the approach, content and the associated investment levels outlined in the document  Endorse the Global Programme Framework Document  Consider ways for periodic revisions of the document The Policy Board is invited to

 The Board will have 2 weeks to provide written comments on the content (substance)  The revised document is submitted for Board’s consideration by mid April -> endorsement by end of April  The request for first budget allocation will be submitted for approval in mid May intersessionally Proposed Next Steps
