Cigarette smoking increases the risk for many different types of cancer such as: Lip, oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus, pancreas, larynx, lung, uterine cervix, urinary bladder, and kidney The majority of tobacco uses is smoking cigarettes Smoking causes 9-10 lung cancers deaths

Second hand smoke or the smoke from cigarettes can also have harmful health effects on those exposed to it. According to the CDC you lose about 14 years of life from smoking

Cigar smoke breaks down in saliva, allowing the smoker to easily absorb nicotine through the lining of the mouth in quantities sufficient to cause addiction, even if the smoke is not inhaled.addiction Approximately 75 percent of cigar smokers don't inhale. A single cigar has about 5 to 17 grams of tobacco. Cigar smoke is more concentrated and toxic than cigarette smoke Smoking one cigar a day increase the risk for cancer and tooth loss.

90% of all people that use tobacco started when they where in their teens. Best way to prevent, is to NEVER TO START!!! Choose friends who don’t use tobacco Avoid situations where tobacco products may be used Practice and use refusal skills

They begin to have health problems They have the desire, will and commitment to stop They realize how expensive the habit is They realize that using tobacco can lead to other risky behaviors, such as the use of alcohol and other drugs The find it difficult t purchase tobacco products because selling tobacco products to person under the age of 18 is illegal in all 50 states They realize the damaging effects of secondhand smoke and don’t want to harm their families and friends.
