Most used appliances in our homes HAIR DRYER OVEN MICROWAVE OVEN FRIDGE VACUUM CLEANER WASHING MACHINE DISH WASHER

TOTAL NUMBER OF APPLIACES IN OUR 4 STUDENTS` HOUSES N. 7N. 8 N.4 N.8 N. 6

AND N. 10 N.15 TV CHARGES

TV WASHING MACHINE DISHWASHER HAIRDRYER PC STEREO SET/ HI-FI SYSTEM OVEN DECODER FRIDGE CHARGERS

AVERAGE ENERGY CONSUMPTION PER FAMILY To calculate the daily power consumption of our families and to obtain truthful data, we have computed the average cosumption over 6 days after having read our electricity meters. ESTIMATED AVERAGE DAILY CONSUMPTION 7,8KWH ESTIMATED AVERAGE WEEKLY CONSUMPTION 55KWH ESTIMATED AVERAGE YEARLY CONSUMPTION 2870KWH ACTUAL AVERAGE DAILY CONSUMPTION 8,5KWH

OBSERVATIONS We have noticed that the estimated consumption is inferior to the real one, this because one of us has more appliances than the average.

AVERAGE APPLIANCES CONSUMPUTION PER WEEK

WHAT ABOUT OUR SCHOOL?

TECHNICAL DATA SRAFFA ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION MONITORING: ELECTRICALELECTRICAL ABSORPTION: 80 kWh PHOTOVOLTAICPHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM: GRID CONNECTED WITH A POWER OF 18,90 Kwp SOLAR PANELINGSOLAR PANELING: PROVIDING FOR ABOUT THE 23% OF THE DEMAND, CONSISTING OF 105 PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULES WITH A SURFACE AREA OF 137 SQ2.

TECHNICAL CONCLUSIONS 411 kWh IN A WEEKOUR SOLAR PANELING PRODUCES 411 kWh IN A WEEK THE YEARLY AMOUNT IS OF 21,400 kWh, AVOIDING THE RELEASE INTO THE ATMOSPHERE OF 0.65 KG OF CO2 FOR EACH kWh OF THE ENERGY PRODUCED (ABOUT 15,000 KG A YEAR) 1128 kWhTHE ELECTRICAL CONSUMPTION PER WEEK IS OF 1128 kWh

HOW R YOU? REUSE REPLACE REDUCERECYCLE

Save Energy – Turn Off and Unplug!

ENERGY VAMPIRES Unplug the“ENERGY VAMPIRES.” Even if they are turned off they still use a small amount of electricity called PHANTOM LOADS. REMEMBER!!: unplug small electronics (radio, toaster, hairdryer) when you are not using them

R R for REUSE & RECYCLE Writeboth sides Write on both sides of your paper. Use economic papers Use economic papers to wrap gifts. Give Give your old clothes and toys to someone who needs them. Don’t throw Don’t throw away anything you can recycle

REUSE: REUSE: use again, for other purposes/goals

REPLACE Seal the leak A leaky toilet can waste more than 10,000 gallons of water a year. Make sure the door OF YOUR FRIDGE closes securely.

 Use energy-saving appliances and light bulbs.  Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs)  Turn off lights when you leave a room.  Turn off TV, video games, and computer when you aren’t using them.  Unplug appliances when they are not being used.  Control heat & cooling with the thermostat.  Use natural light and heat.
