1 Saving Energy in the Home  By: Evan Rohaley, Autumn Wingrove, and Dylan Burlock

2 Saving Energy In The Garage.  Insulate the inside of the garage door with fiberglass.  Make sure the bottom of the door is weather stripped.  Insulate the garage.  You can save over 80% of your energy cost just by insulating the floor.

3 Saving Energy In The Laundry Room.  Run your washing machine for full loads only.  Choose shorter wash cycles because longer one require more energy  Clean your dryer lint after every use

4 -Wasting water wastes electricity,mostly because cities us it alot -About 75 percent of the water we use in our homes is used in the bathroom. Unless you have a low flush toilet, for example, you use about five gallons to seven gallons of water with every flush! A leaky toilet can waste more than 10,000 gallons of water a year. -Drippy faucets are bad, too. A faucet that leaks enough water to fill a soda bottle every 30 minutes will waste 2,192 gallons of water a year. -Another way to prevent this is to also take shorter showers during the day..

5  Fight the Light!  Don't leave lights on when no one is in the room. If you are going to be out of the room for more than five minutes, turn off the light.   Where possible, use compact fluorescent light bulbs. Those funny-looking bulbs produce the same amount of light by using 1/4 of the electricity. Plus, they last for years and years without burning out.  Lighting is one of the most source of energy people us in their every day life.

7 Saving Energy In The Kitchen One way you can save energy in the kitchen is by turning on cold water instead of hot to wash dishes or your hands. Another way you can save energy in the kitchen is by making sure your refrigerator door is shut when done using it. The last way you can save energy in the kitchen is by getting paper bags and anything that is cardboard throw in it and then burn it on burn day.

8 More Kitchen Tips Another kitchen tip is when you are not using the microwave you can unplug it. The next kitchen tip is when you are doing the dishes if you stop to do something else you can turn off the water. The last way is when you get done with a can you can recycle it.
