What is IPADE’s EMBA International Week? International program open to EMBA students from around the world. Central theme: Social Responsibility: Entrepreneurial Solutions to Poverty. Has been running for 18 years. Based on case method discussions, conferences and visits Over 500 participants from 15 schools in its latest edition. Includes, sessions, conferences, company visits and cultural events.

Objectives Bring together professors and EMBA students from different companies, industries and cultures with different perspectives to discuss international case studies and important current business issues around the main theme of the week. Learn about Mexican (and Latin American) business and culture through visiting companies, historical/cultural sites and social events. Strengthen international networking through attendees participation to the Networking Workshop. To inspire participants to acknowledge their responsibilities as business leaders beyond maximizing profit earning and providing a good or service. This week’s approach intends for participants to debate on the social worth of business decision making and action taking in their respective contexts.

What will we talk about during this week? Doing business ethically is a key strategy for long-term success financially, socially and politically. Businesses’ commitment to responsible practices that unleash innovation, increase productivity, boost employee satisfaction and build customer loyalty. Renowned business leaders will gather to discuss the challenges and opportunities of adopting business practices that benefits everybody in the organization. This program provides a unique forum for executives or entrepreneurs to explore corporate ethics on a wide scale, beyond the standard material on economic and legal issues. Participants will be challenged to see their responsibilities as business leaders more broadly than simply earning profits for shareholders.

Case Sessions, Lectures & Panels By professors from participating schools

TEAMS Multicultural Assignment In order to better analyze how Corporations may impact on Social Responsibility, participants will be challenged to answer 1 out of 6 questions about such an important topic. Each team will work together discuss and elaborate arguments from each question presented.

Different Points of View

Destroying Stereotypes No longer this…but this…

Some Student Comments This was a great way to meet people from other countries and cultures. I am sure the relationships developed for many people will last a long time…discussing the cases was beneficial and helped me to understand the thinking of the other individuals in my group. The cultural exchange was the highlight of the trip. It was excellent working in groups and getting to know the students from Mexico, Columbia, Argentina, Peru and Ecuador. The cultural interaction was great. This does enrich the EMBA experience greatly. This residency was extremely valuable from the perspective of being able to learn to work with people from other countries, who have different ideologies, and also from the perspective of being able to discuss our various EMBA programs, their challenges, etc…
