Introduce A to B minutes A great way to make introductions is to use the phrase ‘let me introduce you to…’. Note that you need to use the preposition ‘to’ in this pattern. In the ‘Expansion’ tab, there are 3 sample sentences for ‘introduce’. Have the student read them aloud. These sentences show that you can use ‘introduce’ for colleagues, friends or even your future husband/wife!

Different ways of describing one’s job minutes There are 2 different ways of describing one’s job in today’s lesson: - I work in… - I’m in the …business. Note that you should put the type of industry or role in the blank, not the name of your company. Ask the student ‘What do you do?’ The student can answer using any of the two above patterns. There is also another common way: “I am a/an …”. Ask the student what their wife/husband/brother/sister does?

And you should tell them something about the new friend, e.g. where they are from, their work, their family, their hobby, etc. If there’s additional time, introduce your friend to your student and have the student ask you questions about 1) Where is your friend from? 2) What does he/she do? 3) What type of food does he/she like?
