10 Countries of the World Look at the world map.
Which countries are they? Do you know the flags? Match the country to the map. What festivals are held in America? America has Thanksgiving, Halloween, etc What festivals are held in France?

11 What holidays do you know from these countries?

12 Discuss What festivals are there in . . .? A Chinese festival is the Dragonboat Festival. An American festival is Thanksgiving. Talk about the different festivals you know with a partner.

13 Dates We read numbers for dates differently. They are called Ordinal Numbers. The festival is from April 1-4. The festival is from April first to the fourth.

Take about 5 minutes and complete the worksheet. Compare answers with a partner Say the words aloud! Practice using ordinals

17 Stand up Stand in the order of how tall you are.
The tallest person should stand to the left. The shortest person should stand do the right. I am the seventh tallest person. I am the third shortest person.

18 Answering Questions What is your festival? My festival is Christmas.
Use the same verb. Use the noun from the question. Where does it take place? It takes place all over the world.

19 You do not need to read the question for a presentation.
Instead, use your answers to show the question. Look at these answers and tell me the question. Remember, the grammar in the answer matches the grammar in the question.

20 It takes place from June 2-8.
When does it take place? It started because of a famous sea battle. Why did it start? People wear casual clothes. What do people wear? It is special because of the unique food. Why is it special?

21 Get in Groups Talk about your Korean festival in a group.
Ask each other the list of questions and practice answering them. What is your festival? What do people eat?

22 Research This week, for homework, I want you to come up with a list of 10 questions about your Korean festival. Write the questions and the answers. They can NOT be the same questions that I asked about your festival. Do research to find out more about your festival.
