MA Trainee Social Worker Programme Nicki Shaw Training & Development Manager Professional Development Unit Specialist Children’s Service

Criteria Hold a relevant degree and are thinking about a career in Social Work. A minimum of grade C at GCSE level in English and Mathematics or equivalent. CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) and Occupational health clearance.

Specialist Children’s Service will offer you… Specialist Children’s Service will pay your University fees. You will receive a £12,000 training salary while you study for a Social Work Degree. Career Break (must apply to Line Manager) £40.00 Book Allowance per year

Continued… A Trainee Social Worker post and the opportunity to be part of a stimulating, challenging and supportive children & families’ team for approximately 9 months before you go to University (37 hours a week)

Specialist Children’s Service expectations of you… You will need to apply for a secure a MA Social Work Degree University place for You will be required to work for 4 weeks during the University summer holidays. You may be required to repay the college fees if you fail to complete the MA course. Annual leave entitlement will be taken during the University holidays.
