Access to NWEA Data are pulled from eSchool and uploaded to NWEA on a regular basis for teachers/students based on math and ELA courses Keep schedules and all teacher data accurate in eSchool Additional users are updated once per testing window (network leaders, action team coaches, principals, and NWEA point people) Other teachers that do not have a math or ELA course assigned to them but need access to students’ scores or to proctor must request to be manually added to the NWEA system by ing

Accessing NWEA for Students A lockdown browser has been installed on most CMSD desktops, this is where students will go to take the assessment or to take practice tests Alternatively, students can access practice problems at:

Creating and Proctoring a Test Session Proctor quick start video: If you cannot find a student, following these steps, you will usually find the student to test: – Click on “find students to test” – Do not narrow parameters (i.e. school name, the student may have transferred from another school recently) – Put an asterisk (*) after the student’s last name and first name, this will search for similarly spelled names To find students not yet tested: – Click on “find students to test,” then click on the “test history search” tab – There is an option to find students not yet tested or in suspended tests

Using NWEA Reports to Inform Instruction for Teachers This 3 minute video will show you how to use some important reports to guide instruction: This video can also be found when logging into the NWEA system, click on “View Reports & Instructional Resources,” then “MAP Reports,” then scroll down to “Online Training” Rather than using the “Class Breakdown by Projected Proficiency Report,” which is aligned to old state standards, it is recommended to run a class report as we plan to prepare students for the new Ohio State Tests, giving special attention to those students who fall in the lowest two quintiles (0-20% & 21-40%)**

Resources Aligned to RIT Scores (coming soon) NWEA is partnering with Gooru Learning to link instructional resources on the Web according to Common Core Standards: Here you can search by RIT score, subject, and goal to find Common Core Standards Click on “RIT Summary” at the top to get key performance indicators, including percentile rank, Lexile range, projected proficiency and college readiness status according to RIT score.
