Tim Abbott & Brenna Flaugher, CTIO Integration Meeting 2 Action Items 1.CTIO to generate plan for training for CTIO staff – who should be trained, what should they be trained on, and when are they available OPEN –Telescope simulator –Reassembly at CTIO –When stuff is packed in crates at UCL and Fermilab 2.Fermilab: Develop full list of pre-shipping tests and assumptions. OPEN. 3.Fermilab needs drawings of the NW service platform and F/8 handling fixtures. NOT Complete. –Fermilab to request from Tucson again with support from CTIO 2008 Nov 20

OPEN- to be checked again when shipping container are designed 5.Fermilab and CTIO to agree on final specifications for clean room and Coudé room layout, including the cranes/gantries in both areas and the cabling/cooling plan. OPEN – When does CTIO make the decision on cleanroom layout? 6.DECam team to provide a complete list of equipment required in the Coudé room for DECam assembly and testing OPEN 2008 Nov 20

OPEN 8.Specify needs for cube/tee dewars at CTIO; how many, where, funding, maintainer, readout systems, etc. OPEN 9.Determine setup time estimate for SISPI at CTIO. Determine whether shipping + setup for SISPI < shipping + unpacking for imager. If not, consider further doubling of hardware as mitigating schedule risk (currently only enough doubling to check TCS/DTS interfaces). OPEN 2008 Nov 20

DONE 11/18/08, –David and Roberto to stay in contact. 8.Develop the list of different mass configurations for which telescope balance will need to be maintained; use this to plan the various counterweights which will be required. OPEN 9.Make a video of Ken Schultz installing a DECam science package in the MCCDTV, using the proposed DECam installation procedure and provide to CTIO. DONE - will repeat with final design 2008 Nov 20

Tim Abbott & Brenna Flaugher, CTIO Integration Meeting 6 Action Items 10.Sign off on conceptual design of F/8 handling CLOSED ANL will proceed with detail design of concept as presented at this meeting –Remaining open issues: a)Interference with existing platform – resolved? b)People access c)How to hold the inner ring at 125 deg. flip position d)Counterweight retraction is horizontal, not along the optical axis (4-7 deg diff), requiring compliance. e)Compliance on engaging kinematic mount. (Horizontal wraps - see cable section). f)CTIO to figure out how to reverse flip direction Nov 20

If so where? b)CTIO to document how will the cables be handled. Agree with Fermilab on a date for a review to determine the cables will not be damaged during the installation and how they will be tested after installation. c)CTIO to determine which if any can be installed and tested Before the shutdown for DECam installation? 2008 Nov 20

Fermilab (Steve) is the keeper of the complete list of all cables going to the PF cage. OPEN e)Fermilab and CTIO to agree on how 3-phase is delivered to cage when in Coudé room and at top end CLOSED some work to be done in April 2009 shutdown, Gale & Steve have it sorted out. Will be discussed at monthly installation meetings. (Gale needs consumption estimates.) f)CTIO to specify all cables that will go into cage for F/8 and any monitoring that is not part of DECam. OPEN 14.CTIO and DECam team to determine full list of what can be installed and tested BEFORE DECam arrives at CTIO in Dec OPEN 2008 Nov 20
