A step-by-step guide US Student Visas

Pay the SEVIS I-901 fee through (J-1: $180 / F-1: $200) Choose ‘Submit form I-901 and fee payment’ Use a credit card Print payment confirmation After you receive your visa document (DS-2019 / I-20)

Fill out the online DS-160 visa application form: On website U.S. consulate Amsterdam immigrant_visas.html, save frequently! immigrant_visas.html Questions about: contact information, work and education history, (previous US) travel, family. Uploading picture not strictly necessary. Travel approval through online ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) not necessary for people with visa Before appointment consulate

A recent American style photo (Foto Verhoeff, Vredenburg 37, see consulate website for more photo places) Your (signed) visa document: I-20 (F-1 visa) or DS-2019 (J-1 visa) Passport Dutch passport: valid for the duration of your stay, others: 6 months after departure US Proof of SEVIS payment (‘I-901’) DS-160 form US consulate Copies of your financial documents (recommended) Bring to appointment
