3 Receive DS-2019 You will receive your DS-2019 Certificate of Eligibility once you have been accepted to A-State as an Exchange student and your program of research has provided the International Office with all the documents. AState.edu /ArkansasState @ArkansasState

4 Pay SEVIS I-901 Fee Pay your SEVIS fee online.

5 Complete the Online Visa
Application Form Complete the online non immigrant visa application form (DS-160) available on the link provided below: AState.edu /ArkansasState @ArkansasState

6 Pay Visa Fee As per the U.S. visa service process, visa fee can be paid in the following ways: 1. Online banking/Mobile banking 2. Cash payment at banks. NOTE: Before going to the bank, you must obtain/print a U.S. visa fee collection slip from your online application profile. Keep the receipt you will receive from the bank after the payment. 7 Schedule an interview You can schedule your visa interview with the US embassy or consulate. When your visa is approved, you may also have to pay a visa issuance fee, if applicable to your nationality.  AState.edu /ArkansasState @ArkansasState

8 Gather required documents
You will require the following documentation DS-2019 Certificate of Eligibility Form DS-7002 (training plan), if applicable Confirmation page of the online application form DS-160 Proof of payment of the U.S. Consulate fee Proof of payment of the SEVIS fee Passport photo, size 2x2 Passport Interview appointment letter Documents supporting financial background Academic documentation AState.edu /ArkansasState @ArkansasState

9 Attend your visa interview
A consular officer will determine whether you are qualified to receive a visa. Be prepared for interview questions beforehand. Be confident and honest AState.edu /ArkansasState @ArkansasState

Why do you want to go to the US? What are your qualifications? What are you currently doing? Which university are you enrolled at (or, have you graduated from?)? What program are you applying to? When did you apply for your program? How much was your placement fee? Who is going to pay for your expenses? How much do you/they make? Tell me about your housing. What will you be doing in the US?
