2) The GOBI DESERT sits across the border of CHINA and MONGOLIA

3) The LOESS PLATEAU & NORTH CHINA PLAIN provide China with FERTILE soil

4) The TIBETAN PLATEAU is a FLAT area but sits at a HIGH ELEVATION

5) The HIMALAYA MOUNTAINS rise up from the TIBETAN PLATEAU – they are located along CHINA’s border with NEPAL, INDIA & BHUTAN

The year following the eruption, the earth’s temperature decreased by almost 1 º C due to the VOLCANIC ASH blocking out sunlight as far away as Europe & North America
