3 EXAMPLE: China has arid, semi arid, humid subtropical, humid continental, and highland climates. Arid and semi arid climates are located in the northern and northwest parts of the country which is why the population is very sparse in those areas. Arid and semi arid climates are described as hot, dry, and have very little vegetation. Because this is true, people most likely will not live in areas that are arid and semi arid. The Yangtze and the Huang He Rivers are located in south and east China, the Gobi desert is located in Northern China, and the Himalayas in Southern China near India. Most people in China live in the southern and eastern part of the country. Most people live near the rivers and bodies of water because rivers provide fertile soil that is good for growing crops. Waterways can also be used for transportation that is essential for trade. Living near bodies of water also affect the type of jobs that individuals have. China is known for their fishing industry…
