 Your Chapter’s website is versatile! Let’s look at a few things you can customize yourself: Return to FAQ

 Slides  Subpages  Text  News Return to FAQ

 Note that your page is set to the 3 default slides that appear on  These disappear as soon as you make any slide of your own. Return to FAQ

 Select “Manage Slides”  Then, click “Add New” (top right)  “Title” will be the text by your picture  Upload your picture (best practices on next slide)  If you want the “learn more” button to have a link, put the link here Return to FAQ

 If you want to advertise an event on a slide, and want to connect the even directly to the slide, go to the event page and look up the desired event.  At the bottom of the event registration page, click on share through twitter.  A new page will open; copy the url found in the share field. This is the url for the event registration page.  Paste this in the ‘Slide URL’ field when creating a slider (shown on the previous slide)

 This area is about 400x374 pixels  If your picture isn’t fitting, you may have to resize  The site can suit international Chapters Return to FAQ

 Open your picture in paint or another editing program  Click “resize”  Select “pixels”  Check “Maintain aspect ratio”  Size it! Return to FAQ

 Note that you can only add subpages.  Main pages such as “Chapters” and “Events” are permanent, NEVER delete these.  “About” and “Membership” are the only customizable main pages. Please, still don’t delete these. Return to FAQ

 Select “CMS”  Then, click “Add Page” (top right)  Choose the MAIN page it goes under  Type the name of your subpage  Enter a number for this page’s position (relative to other subpages) Return to FAQ

 Add text, click preview, scroll down to save!  Click the little “?” for seeing the CK Editor’s manual for help and suggestions  for additional Return to FAQ

 Many Chapters are already customizing!  Here is one example where Silicon Valley added a “Scholarship” subpage under “About” Return to FAQ

 We highly suggest editing your “Membership” main page  Members renewing/joining are directed here for your membership levels Return to FAQ

 You’ve probably noticed the default text on the left- hand side of your site.  This will be one of your greatest tools for highlighting your Chapter’s individuality! Return to FAQ

 Like editing subpages, click on “CMS”  Click on “Index” (this is your front page)  Edit as before, then save your changes! Return to FAQ

 Don’t forget that this suits International Chapters as well! Return to FAQ
