Complementary courses on European level SALTO Inclusion organises training that NAs/ NGOs might have difficulties with organising it on national level or find enough participants Double the Courses/Repeat Courses Organising twice or more times the same course costs less preparation, time & resources but reaches double the people Documenting the course -Develop an educational booklet based on the course (most of the content is already present/developed at the courses anyway) – thus providing the course content in paper & electronic format -Ask the trainers to put all the tools, methods, handouts used at the courses in the toolbox for training (a cumulative resource to inspire youth workers and trainers) How to make the most of a training course?

Follow up for participants SALTO Inclusion keeps contact after the TC e.g. mailings, certificate, yahoogroups, info Inform NAs about project ideas & suggest help Transparency & Quality in Inclusion Courses SALTO Inclusion Quality Charter for inspiration Documenting the course impact Use the SALTO long term evaluation and document projects/outcomes Promoting the courses & resources Send around information about courses & resources to Newsletters Cooperate with partner organisations (NA, SALTO, NGO,...) Combined resources reach further and cooperation has more impact Making Inclusion Training go further?

Why which SALTO Inclusion Training? In the beginning: Not enough Inclusion projects: need for Training on Actions - TC Inclusion & EVS (2001) 50 pax - TC Inclusion & Group Initiatives (2002) 50 pax Working Group on Inclusion (2004): request to SALTO to increase training - 4x Inclusion & Diversity Training Modules (2005) 100 pax in synergy with SALTO Cultural Diversity RC - increase in SALTO Inclusion training places ( ) through extra activities, cooperation with National Agencies, bigger conferences,... SALTO takes up controversial issues and stimulating action - TC Inclusion through Sports (2004) 50 pax= sport as a tool, not an aim - TC Rainbow – inclusion of LesBiGay youth (Romania, 2005) 25 pax - Cooperating with National Agencies boosts action in these fields

But not everybody is the same! Different groups have different needs! Training for Different Target Groups: - Young people with a disability (Slovakia, 2003) - LesBiGay youth (Romania, 2005) - Young (Ex) Offenders (Belgium, 2006) To be continued … - rural youth, behavioral problems, school drop outs, urban youth … Resources for Different Target Groups: - Educational publications per group: LesBiGay, Disability, Offenders, … - Resource pages online per target group: Disability, LesBiGay - Cumulative tools, methods, texts in the Toolbox for Training Why which Inclusion Training?
