Chemicals Policy and Health (CP&H) Solvay GPS Implementation  Initial step :as per April 2011 GPS Safety Summaries for 8 Chemicals have been uploaded by Solvay NA. The chemicals were :  Hydrogen Peroxide  Dichlorodiphenylsulfone  Ammonium bifluoride  Ammonium Fluoride  Difluoroethylene  Fluorosilicic acid  Sodium fluoride  HF solutions  More to come in the next coming months

Chemicals Policy and Health (CP&H) Solvay GPS Implementation  EU plan  Team has been set with multiple expertise : Tox &Ecotox,HSE, Regulatory, Chemistry, SDS,Communication  Support from Legal, Business, Manufacture, Plant will be made available when necessary  The draft standard format has been tentatively agreed and the Legal disclaimer as well.

Chemicals Policy and Health (CP&H) Overview of work done Progress 2010 REACH Registered substances placed on the market : 67 out of the PSS (Product Safety Summaries) /56 substances uploaded on the ICCA database by September remaining in PSS no REG 2010 to be done Additional 36 PSS managed in S-NA under the ACC commitment Additional 17 PSS managed by Rhodia sector Europe and 3 PSS managed by Rhodia sector NA by September-2012

Chemicals Policy and Health (CP&H) ICCA IT Portal: GPS IT Portal Workshop (Cefic, Brussels, 24. April 2012, Solvay as one of the Participant ) Aim of the workshop : to learn about the experience of the individual companies when uploading GPS Safety Summaries to the GPS IT Portal or when using the search interface. The resulting list of issues will be used by ICCA as a basis to revise the GPS IT Portal for ICCM-3 (participants summarized the most pressing IT Portal issues and prioritized them according to their importance). Chemicals Policy and Health (CP&H) Solvay GPS Implementation -Status and next Steps  July 2012 : 60 PSS for the Products of the Chemical and Plastic sector has been made available on the Solvay Website  In parallel 50 samples of those PSS have been pronted to inform Solvay colleagues about this achievement  The PSSs are a joint publication of the Solvay GPA, Product Regulatory Affairs department of HSE and Communication 

Chemicals Policy and Health (CP&H) Solvay GPS Implementation -Status and next Steps  Future work will be addressing now : the integration of the Rhodia internal programme, the Solvay NA update and upgrade of the Solvay NA ones  Adapation of various format and languages of Rhodia, Solvay NA  Translation of the existing PSSs at least in French, Italian and German  Continuation of preparation of PSS according to the REACH Tonnage band hence up to 2018 progressively  Launch of the next phase : early 2013
