Source: Tests and conditions stated in these documents Tuesday 04 March LTC Extended meeting

Tuesday 04 March Deliverables Outcome of the collimator hardware commissioning: – Validation of single collimator, all relevant functionality – Settings and sensor readouts (position, temperature, switches,...) verified – Control of each collimator from CCC is declared “safe” – Machine protection functionality (without beam) partially established Cold checkout focused on: – Control an ensemble of collimators – Address timing and synchronization issues – Function-driven motion, “tracking” tests with other equipment – Establish full machine protection functionality without beam – Verify interfaces to other accelerator systems Beam loss monitors: configuration/acquisition of distributed system Sequencer driven commands, machine modes Verify logging of distributed systems (big data sets!) – Consistency and sanity checks; global system status LTC Extended meeting

Tuesday 04 March LTC Extended meeting Validation of single collimator, all relevant functionality

Tuesday 04 March LTC Extended meeting Validation of single collimator, acceptance up to installation

Tuesday 04 March LTC Extended meeting Validation of single collimator, manufacturing and operational data

The hardware commissioning of the collimators include all the tests that will be performed once the collimator is installed in the tunnel in order to validate their correct functioning. These include tests on infrastructure up to the base support, tests of the tunnel equipment, on the full system and with the collimator under vacuum. Systems: TCL, TCLIA, TCLIB, TCLIM, TCT, TCTVB, TCLP, TCHSH, TCHSS, TCHSV, TCLA, TCAPx, TCP, TCSG Requirements: Commissioning 1 (C1, access needed): Collimator installed, cabling finished. Tests with cross check in tunnel (two teams). Commissioning 2 (C2, no access required): C1 + bake out terminated, under vacuum, water flow nominal. Remote tests (one team) Infrastructure: Power, light, Water cooling, Vacuum, Cabling, Collimator installed, Ethernet, GSM.
