8. Cafeteria Lesson Plan Continued 3. Teacher Strategies A. Enter and Exit signs will be posted at the entrance of the Cafeteria door. 1. Students will be lined up in seating chart order. 2. Students will stop at the entrance door and permitted to go in with Teacher’s permission. B. Blue tape will be on the floor throughout serving area and trash cans. 1. Students will walk in between the blue lines. C.Teacher will develop a lunch seating chart for the students 1. Students will be seated according to the seating chart given to the lunch monitor by the teacher. 2. Students will need to enter the cafeteria in seating chart order to avoid congestion at the tables. D. Classes will be assigned a table 1. Each class will have a table the will either be an “A” or “B” table. 2. The “A” tables will go through the “A” lunch line and the “B” tables the “B” lunch line.

Lunch monitor will hold up signs to indicate the following: Sign #1-Clean area Sign #1-Clean area Sign #2-Stand up/push in chair Sign #2-Stand up/push in chair Sign #3-Pick up tray/face the monitor and dispose of tray Sign #3-Pick up tray/face the monitor and dispose of tray F. When the lunch monitor releases the students to dispose of trays students will follow the red line to the trash cans to throw away trays and continue on the red line to exit the cafeteria. Student Incentives Classes who are successful and adhere to all the rules and directives during the lunch period will receive a Lion. This Lion will be placed on a graph that will be displayed in the cafeteria so each class can keep track of their progress and view the progress of the other classes. Once a class receives 3 Lions they will earn a pencil, 6 Lions they will earn a popcorn party, 9 Lions they will earn 10 minutes of recess and when a class reaches 11 Lions they will earn a “Cool Treat.” Adopted by Sarah King Elementary Staff:

17. Hallway Lesson Plan Continued BE “PAW”SITIVELY PROUD K - Keep hands and feet to self to show “Lions Pride” for school. Teacher Strategies A.Colored tape will be placed down the middle of the hallway to direct hallway traffic. Students should walk on the 2nd tile to the right of the green tape to keep students safe from opening doors, and to avoid students from touching classroom hallway displays. B.Teachers will TEACH students proper hallway etiquette and TEACH students to stop at every stop sign to avoid collision with other classes. C.TEACH and RETEACH as necessary D.Teacher will be given 10 letters by PBS Team that will spell “LIONS PRIDE” which will be used to display in their individual classroom’s for incentive purposes.

Hallway Lesson Plan Continued Student Incentives Classes who are complimented by other teachers or administration on appropriate hallway expectations will earn the privilege of displaying one of “LIONS PRIDE” letter in their classroom. Teachers will place one letter at a time when compliments are given to entire class.
