3. Using the Slide Master If you want to use a theme, but you want to change an element of it (e.g., color, font), you can use the Master Slide to apply your changes to all slides in the presentation.

4. Using the Slide Master 1. Click on the “View” tab on the ribbon. 2. Click on “Slide Master” on the toolbar

5. Slide Master View 1. The first slide in Slide Master View is the Slide Master for all slides.

6. Slide Master View 2. The other slides in Slide Master View control the Slide Master for a particular layout.

7. Changing all Slides If you want to change all slides, then make sure the first slide in Slide Master view is selected. This slide controls all the slides.

8. Changing all Slides 1. When you have selected the Slide Master that controls all slides, you can make any changes you want to the Slide Master, and all slides will reflect those changes. 2. When you are done editing the slide, click on “Close Master View” on the tool bar.

9. Changing a Slide Layout 1. To change a particular type of slide layout, click on that slide layout in Slide Master view. 2. Make the changes you want, then exit by clicking on “Close Master View” on the toolbar.

10. Animation 1.To add animation to your slide, go to the Animations tab on the ribbon. 2. Select the section of the slide you want to animate. (It may be a picture, or a line/paragraph of text.)

12. Animation 2. If you select “Custom Animation,” you may select from these Options. 3. These are options for how the animation appears – as an entrance, exit, emphasis, etc. 4. These are options for the style of entrance, exit, etc.

13. Animation 1. Small numbers on the left hand side of the section of the slide, show which sections of the slide are animated. 2. The order of the numbers shows the order in which the animation will appear.

14. Adding Sound to Animation The default for animation is no sound. You can change that by clicking on the drop down arrow.

15. Adding Sound to Animation. This drop down menu of sounds appears. You can click on the sound you like.

16. Advancing Animation 1. The default is for animation to advance (that is, to move to the next section of the slide, or to the next slide) on a mouse click. 2. You can change the default to advance automatically after a certain period of time.
