3.  Home Tab – Click New Slide › Choose layout type  Or Press Ctrl-M on keyboard › Adds new slide of same type as previous one

4.  Home Tab – Delete option under Slides › Or  Right Click on slide in left side preview panel › Choose Delete

5.  Limit one slide to no more than › 7 bullet points with › Maximum of 7 words each › Phrases are encouraged  over complete sentences › Emphasis on important points  Embellish in own words

6.  Design Tab  Choose from preformatted themes  Or create your own › Background Styles option › Background section – click small arrow in bottom left corner  Add an image as background › Design Tab – expand Background section › Choose Insert From – File or Clip Art › Apply to all slides or just one or two

7.  View Tab  Slide Master  Make changes to font, color, background, applied themes, etc.  Changes applied to all slides

8.  View Tab  Used to rearrange slides  Click and drag slides to new location  Delete slides  Cannot edit text on slides in this view

9.  How one slide leaves and another enters  Animations Tab  Select transition style › Set sound, speed › Apply to all or just one slide  Set automatic slide advancement › Or on Mouse click

10.  Animate text, images, shapes, etc.  Animation Tab  Choose from preformatted options › Select to bring in All at once › Or By 1 st Level Paragraphs  Or Custom Animate › Select text or object to animate › Choose Add Effect – choose effect › Set properties as desired

11.  Office button  Print  Change Print what option to Handouts  Select # of slides per page
