3 Latitude Equator –Parallel circles earth halfway between North and South Poles –Labeled 0 degrees, no direction All parallels at equal distance from each other –Labeled in degrees North or South

4 Longitude All meridians at equal distance from each other Labeled in degrees, East or West Prime meridian –Labeled 0 degrees, no direction
