4 California Volunteers sets a standard of 90% Recruitment and 90% Retention. Recruitment Rate is the number of members officially enrolled in the program vs. the number of slots granted by the Corporation for National and Community Service Retention Rate is the number of members who successfully complete their term of service vs. the number of members officially enrolled in the program. 2013-14 Data Review

6 School Readiness is the primary performance measure. A key output is the number of children who have not met or who are not meeting milestones These children are categorized as high need children.

8 A key outcome is the number of children who had not initially met milestones on the initial assessment but have improved by the time a second or third assessment is conducted. 14-15 Data

10 School Readiness is also measured as a national performance measure. Readiness for school is measured in three key areas:  Social Emotional Development  Literacy  Numeracy

12 Volunteer Recruitment is a requirement for all National Service programs. Volunteers are categorized as: One-time On-going

15 Member Development is another required performance measure and is measured by the number of hours spent in training, supervision, etc.

18 Timesheet Due Dates Members submit timesheets twice per month. Pay periods are 1st through the 15th of the month and 16th through the end of the month. In order for the members to receive Direct Deposit or have on time delivery of their hard copy check. Both due dates must be met. The Member Timesheet due date is when they need to submit their timesheet to you/the supervisor The Timesheets approved date is when you will need to approve and rout the timesheets Program Calendar

19 TTA Calls The intention of the TTA Calls is to share program updates, special events, coordinate efforts and share best practices. It is required that one person from your organization attend. 20 Member Check ins To build Esprit D Corps and a send of belonging for members, PCA CA will host quarterly check in calls for the First 5 Service Corps and CWS members quarterly. Hosted on ReadyTalk October 16 th - 10-11 a.m. January 15 th - 10-11 a.m. April 15 th - 10-11 a.m. Program Calendar

21 Performance Evaluation Due Dates Members must receive three performance evaluations throughout the course of their term Initial evaluation due within 45 days of commencement of term Mid-Term dates are on the calendar, delivery to PCA CA within 10 days of the listed due date End-Term must be completed within the last 30 days of service, delivery to PCA CA within 10 days of completion Program Calendar

22 Success Story Due Dates Members must complete 2 Success Stories per year – One mid-year and one toward the end of service. Dates TBD based on CV Program Calendar Program Calendar

23 Service Activity Form Due Dates The service activity form due dates are listed as the 10 th of each month SAF’s can be done individually by the members or in an aggregated report for the county. Program Calendar

24 Assessment Due dates - IGDI/GOLD Should be entered as soon as possible after the assessment has been completed Three times per year - need to make sure that the data is up to date January 8 th April 8 th July 8 th Program Calendar

26 Member of the Month Nominations First 5 Service Corps will have a member of the Month each month moving forward! Supervisor must nominate the member and review process is conducted by PCA CA staff Email blast, CAP Center Facebook post, featured on CAP AmeriCorps website and award to member Program Calendar

28 New Position Descriptions: Lead AmeriCorps Members Assist with member Development National Service Days, preparation and mentoring Parent Educators Lead Parent Engagement activities Primary beneficiary is the Parent Changes for 15-16

29 New Enrollment Process PCA CA Invites members via My AmeriCorps (When Member is cleared) Member accepts invitation and completes demographic information. (Before Orientation) PCA CA completes enrollment online. (Day 2 and 3 of Orientation) Changes for 15-16
