1 Classifying History- History is big. And there is a LOT of stuff in it. In order to make it meaningful, scholars often look at only a piece of history, as if looking through a telescope at a particular set of stars instead of the whole universe. We call this viewing history through a Lens. Three very useful lenses to help us focus on history are to look at the Political, Economic and Social aspects of history individually.
