2 The Lifecycle of a Destination Destinations have a lifecycle… -Introduction OOnce tourists find out about a new destination, news spreads fairly quickly and at this stage, the destination is at its peak in its popularity. -Growth AAs this destination continues at its peak more and more tourist dollars enter that area and better facilities are built to continue to attract new tourists and businesses. -Maturation TThe business becomes stronger and more steady, but at this point it is no longer growing. More ventures have moved onto new destinations while dependable become more frequent visitors. -Decline UUnless the destination can start appealing to a new accidence for has some type of revival, it will start to decline.
