Only one-third is used for farming.

Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and Venezuela are the leading manufacturing countries in South America.
These countries have natural and human resources available.
They have copper, iron ore, lead, tin, and fossil fuels.
They have fertile soil and water based transportation.
They have large populations of people to work.
