2 Doldrums (n.) a state or period of inactivity, stagnation, or depression. Sailors sometimes have difficulty when sailing in the doldrums. Winds will be light causing boats to come to a standstill, sometimes for days. Only sudden storms with strong winds allow sailors to move on.

3 Indignant (adj)- Feeling characterized by, or expressing indignation of anger and frustration Sentence- I felt indignant when I didn’t complete all my homework before my baseball game so I could not play at the state championships.

4 Lethargic (adj) being drowsy, sluggish, and inactivity
Sentence- I was very lethargic after running 26.2 miles at a marathon.

(goodwill, regard, or favor) Part of speech: Conciliative/tory- Adj Conciliatorily/tive- Adv Conciliatoriness/tive- N Sentence: The goodwill store is conciliatory to the people who need the cloths, or goods the most.

7 Strenuous (adjective)
(1.)Characterized by or calling for vigorous exertion (2. )intensely active; energetic. My brother, Alex finds playing in football games very strenuous.

13 Effusive Adjective. Unrestrained or excessive in emotional expression; profuse overflowing. The father was effusive to his kids after they threw paint on the walls covering the expensive picture.

The man complained complete balderdash about the law {no ice cream in your back pocket on Sunday.

Grave risk, something that might cause injury, loss, or destruction Perilous When you decide to fight somebody, you are taking a perilous decision. By Ignacio Balasch The firefighter made a perilous decision by trying to save the woman in the building on fire and not getting himself save first.

17 Peculiar Part of speech: The word Peculiar is an adjective
Definition: Something that you don’t see every day meaning its very unusual and really weird you see. Sentence: When I went Trick-Or-Treating a peculiar double headed man came to the door and gave me eye balls instead of candy. Part of speech: The word Peculiar is an adjective
