Real Conditionals made by using in “If” Clause The “If” Clause is always made with a simple present tense verb o If clause- used to talk about an action that might happen If I pass this class, … If we go to the beach, … If she goes to the spa,… If you fail an exam,... o Can also use “when” instead of “if” When I pass this class, … When we go to the beach, … When she goes to the spa, … When you fail an exam, … “If” Clause

Using the correct adjective in “Real Conditionals” is very important. o Using the wrong adjective will change the meaning of your sentence. When “ed” and when “ing”? Adjectives “ed” vs “ing” Base Adj.-ing-ed annoy surprise confuse excite bore annoyed surprising confused excited bored annoying surprised confusing exciting boring To describe something / someone To express a feeling / emotion Example : Teacher, I’m boring… (I’m not a fun person) 난난 재미없는 사람이다 Teacher, I’m bored… (I’m not having fun) 난난 심심해 “-ing” used to describe someone “-ed” used to express a feeling
