The ability to accept yourself and others, express and manage emotions, and deal with the demands and challenges you meet in your life. Good Mental and Emotional health influences your physical and social health too.

4 Self Esteem Self Esteem is how much you value, respect and feel confident about yourself. You can develop a positive self esteem by creating a positive self talk The encouragement or criticism that you give yourself. Self esteem helps you feel proud of yourself and you accomplishments.

5 Your Environment and Self Esteem You can control many things that affect your self esteem: Avoid criticizing yourself Set realistic expectations Don’t expect everything to be perfect. Way to improve your self esteem: Choose friends who value and respect you Try new activities to learn new talents Volunteer your time to help someone Consider Mistakes Learning opportunities.

8 Dealing with Emotions in a Healthy Way People deal with emotions in different ways some are harmful and others are positive. Some people use a defense mechanism Mental process that protect individuals from strong or stressful emotions and situations.

9 Dealing with Difficult Emotions Fear Recognizing the fear Figuring out what is causing the fear Taking small steps to overcome the fear Or seeking help Guilt Figure out why you are guilty See if the situation is in your control Act in a way to get rid of the guilt Anger Figure our what is causing the anger Take time to calm down Remove yourself from the situation

Ways to prevent suicide: Take it seriously Talk to them and start a meaningful conversation Show support and ask questions Encourage them to seek help Tell an adult
