6 5th Grade Guidelines

7 Absences/Tardies Attendance is important...If you aren’t here, you aren’t learning. Absences: "In the event a student is absent, parents must contact the front office as soon as possible. Following an absence, parents must send a note explaining the reason for the absence. Should the student develop a questionable pattern of absences, the principal or attendance committee may require a statement from a doctor or health clinic verifying the illness or condition that caused the student’s absence from school." Make-up Work: “ Students are expected to make up any work missed and will receive grades earned on the make-up work. Students will have the same number of days to complete assignments as they were absent. Make-up work will not be given in advance, however during a lengthy illness (no sooner than three days), special arrangements may be made with the teachers and/or principal.”

8 Tardies: ●Students will be counted tardy if not seated in class at 8:05 Leave Early: ●Has a negative effect on student performance
