2. What is People First? People First is a system that:
Administers the state employee benefits including FIU employees
Allows you to review and enroll in your benefits during Open Enrollment
What is my People First User ID?
Your user ID was sent to you via on October 11, 2011
If you cannot find your user ID please contact

3. How to Access People First to reset your password
Step # 1: Go to the People First website
Step # 2: Click on “Forgot Your Password”

4. Step # 3: Enter Required Information
If you are getting an error message, there is a problem with your account which cannot be fixed via the “forgot password” tool. You must contact People First at and ask to reset your password.

5. Step # 4: Set Up Your Security Questions

6. Step # 5: Log In & Go to Health Insurance

7. Step # 6: Go to Benefits Choices

8. Step # 7: Enroll and Click Complete Enrollment
If you do not click complete enrollment your enrollment will not be completed and changes will not take effect.

9. Important Dates Open Enrollment: Nov. 7th - Nov. 18th
Action Required: Update Address by Oct. 17th in Employee Self Service
People First mailing open enrollment packet: Week of Oct. 24th
Changes effective 1/1/2012; deductions on 12/16/11 paycheck
