1 Updating User Information Password – use this field to change your own password Confirm Password – retype the new password for verification purposes To change your password prior to its expiration, login to the Trauma System and then click the User Information button on the toolbar. In the Edit User Information screen, enter your new password into the Password and Confirm Password fields, then click Save. Changing Your Password

2 Updating User Information Security Question – allows the user to select a security question that will be asked to verify the user’s identity should a password need to be reset in the future Security Answer – allows the user to give a security answer to identify a user for password reset request Confirm Security Answer – retype the security answer for verification purposes If a user forgets their password, below the Login button on the Login box is a hot link that says, “Reset your password”. Clicking on this link enables a user to receive an email with a password reset link. Please note that the user must have the security question answered to be able to reset their password

3 Updating User Information User forgets login name o When a user forgets their login name, they can request that it be emailed to them, given they can supply the email address that is associated with the account. When a user performs this action, an email displaying the login name will be sent to the user with that email address o Email notification example:

4 Updating User Information User forgets password o When a user forgets his password, the user can request that a password reset link be emailed to him/her. The user must be able to provide the login name and email address associated with their user account. o When the user receives the email they will be requested to click on the link that will take them to a Trauma System screen where they will enter their username, security question answer and a new password. o Please note that a user must have previously logged into the system at least once or the user will have to contact their facility administrator to have their password reset
