Key assignments of the CEO Two different fields –Establishment of the Finnish subsidiary of BPC from scratch –Ongoing operations in the whole North East region

Establishment of a Finnish subsidiary At the beginning (BPC expansion to Finland) CEO and the HQ are also handling the tasks that belong to the Regional management Once regional management team has been established, the HQ / CEO will concentrate only in strategic issues, planning and general guidance –the management of on-going operations in Finland will be the responsibility of the Regional management.

Establishment of a Finnish subsidiary / Key Duties –Communication with UK head quarters –Building the BP organization in Finland –Analysis of market conditions in Finland* –Location selection* –Design and customization of the proposed business format* –Organization of construction contracts, selection of the contractor(s)* –(Supervision of the build-up process)*

Key Duties cont. –Building the HQ organization –Staffing –Supervision and management –Training /delegating –Marketing* –Branding* –Estate rental –Outsourcing processes HQ (accounting, translations, advertising, consulting etc?) –(Selection of facility managers) –Establishment of regional management in Finland

On-going activities / Key Duties The establishment of an organization will be the responsibility of the CEO in both Finland and abroad.

On-going activities –Communication with UK head quarters –Accountability to all BPC activities in the North-East region –Motivation of the team to a high standard of morale and to convey to staff what is expected of them. –Conduct monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc analysis of BPC performance in the North-East region –Evaluating investment opportunities and possibilities of expanded investment in the market area –Tracking, reporting, and conducting ROI analysis for major investment projects –Driving maximum product penetration and profitability through thorough market analysis, competitor analysis, and price planning. –Strategic planning

On-going activities cont. –(Expansion in Finland) –Supervision and management of HQ –Training /delegating –Marketing guidelines –Branding –Outsourcing processes HQ (accounting etc?) –Managing the *’s (subsidiary establishment process) in other countries in the early stage of expansion before regional managers are assigned –Selection of foreign region managers –Training the foreign region managers –Establishment of communication channels with the foreign managers –General advertisement and marketing direction in all locations –Branding guidelines in all locations –Translation and forwarding of HQ orders to regional managers

Key requirements of the CEO Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in equivalent major Minimum experience 10 to 15 years, minimum five years as executive manager of a major corporation or president / vice president (general management and supervision) in high-growth, fast-paced environments Strong knowledge and experience of company management Experience in organization creation Experience in a strategic planning and strategic leadership, minimum of two years in an equivalent position Experience in market entry processes

Key requirements cont. Experience in a subsidiary / company establishment Extensive knowledge in Finnish market and knowledge of Finnish language, preferably a Finnish national Ability to effectively communicate in English (concern language), knowledge of other languages (Russian, Baltic languages) desirable but not necessary Excellent business, financial, and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentational skills Demonstrate a rapid and robust career to date Experience in working with senior and executive management Have exceptional people development and management skills

Facility Managers and assistants In the first year: 4 facility managers and around 30 assistants Starting in year 4: 9 facility managers (4 Finland, 3 the Baltics, 2 Russia), 65 or so assistants

Facility Managers - responsibilities Responsible for functioning of the local operations, ”the organizational flow” Report monthly to national directors of the facility’s performance Take care of organizing the standardized image and service of the complex Provide coordination for the local ”service committees” Responsible locally for construction, product and service quality, maintenance contracts and other management duties – dividing resources locally Locally dealing with the outsourcing contracts Execute strategies created by the upper management Maintain and develop relations with local authorities

Facility managers – job specifications and requirements Language skills – fluency in Finnish and English, and preferably some skills in Russian or the Baltic languages Master’s degree, major in Business Administration or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading at least middle-sized organization Good knowledge of Finnish and Baltic or Russian markets Expected to move to a new location every 2 years – ”Training in Finland, moving abroad”

Facility managers – job description Manage day-to-day operations Ensure smooth flow of facility operations Supervise the quality of the work & services Supervise local outsourcing Motivate and lead employees Ensure efficiency of the workers Monitor customer satisfaction

Facility assistants - responsibilities Organizing locally that at least one BPC staff member is located in the complex 24/7 Overseeing the maintenance: snow removal, security, trash removal etc. Perform duties assigned by the facility manager Reporting daily to facility manager Handling the day-to-day emergency situations

Facility assistants – specifications and requirements BP-CENTRO Management trainees Internships for college and graduate school students, at least Bachelor’s degree required Fluency in Finnish and English, some Baltic language or Russian skills appreciated Readiness to move abroad – high motivation Prior experience from the sector preferred Good promotion possibilities to facility manager position

Facility assistants – job description Work performed in three shifts (1 assistant by night, 2-3 assistants at business hours) Manages and supervises day-to-day operations Overseeing the maintenance flaws and overall quality Varying duties assigned by the facility manager Reporting daily to the facility manager about the grass-root level functioning of the complex Reacts to the occurring emergency situations

Some organizational facts CEO will decide the time schedules and flex time in the HQ as he creates the organization Time zone differences Company language will be English. The regional managers are preferable nationals of their location country and are required to be fluent in the local language

Organizational facts HR, Operations etc. managers are originally hired to the HQ and work under the HQ CEO. Once the operation is running, these managers will be transferred to the Regional office which is managed by the regional CEO. The regional office will also work as a training center for the foreign regional office CEO’s

Organizational facts Job rotation is not very important, nor necessary in this level as there are no equivalent positions in the company Russia Job enrichment and enlargement in the top / middle management level are not primary, more focus on operational level management and employees The focus will be on strategic planning
