Service is provided by servers, walking vendors, cooks, and cashiers. The also include corporate suites that offer superior serve and food. Stadiums typically have contract feeders, a unique venue with managers who specialize in managing stadium events.

26 Convention Centers Convention: is a gathering of people all of whom have something in common. Expositions are large shows, open to the public, that highlight a particular type of product or service. Trade Shows are restricted to those involved in the industry being featured.

The land is run by the National Parks Service which is operated by the National Park Service, which is part of the U.S. Department of the Interior. They offer a wide variety of attractions. Most guest facilities are managed by private companies.

High-quality food is a major part of the guests’ experiences. You can get snow cones, cotton candy, and waffle fries as well as dine in restaurant that need reservations.

29 Shopping Malls and outlet malls attract millions of tourists who choose shopping as a recreational activity. Offer a variety of foodservice opportunities that include quick-service and casual-dining restaurants. Some large chains in shopping malls have their own food service . Discount chains offer a large variety of products at lower prices. (Fast food at the store)

Monuments are typically structures built to memorialize something usually provide concessions. Museums provide fine-dining restaurants, banquets, or casual concessions such kiosks and cafeterias. Zoos concession, fine, and casual dinning, and catering.

31 Health Services Found in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and assisted living. Some states require that menus be approved by state officials to ensure that the specific nutritional needs of patients and clients are met. Some of these places offer a cafeteria style restaurant or even have fast food in the place for visitors and employees.

Often use satellite/commissary feeding: one kitchen prepares food that is then shipped to other locations to be served. Schools and Universities have different cycles than business and staff is reduced. Universities work force tends to be from the students. Schools are regulated by the Federal government.

34 Corrections Food is critical to maintain a positive and peaceful atmosphere in correctional facilities. Well-prepared food at minimal cost is a challenge. Both contract feeding and staff employed by the institutions, which often offer competitive wages at the management level. Any potential employees must meet security requirements.

Tourism Focuses on the many ways in which people spend their time and money away from home Careers include positions such as tour guides, convention planners, travel writers, amusement park employees, or park rangers.
