1 Welcome to 4 th Grade

2 Our goal is to help each child reach his/her potential.

3 Introduction  First bell rings at 7:50.  Tardy bell rings at 8:00.  Each student needs to have a book to read while waiting for the bell to ring.

4 Communication  Monday Folders  Weekly teacher emails and website updates  Twitter updates @mrsbatrje  Remind texts or emails  Our monthly newsletters are posted on the school website.

5 Student Planners  First planner is provided for students.  Student assignments written in each day.  Divided by subject area.  Daily communication with parents.  Brought home each night for parent signature.  Homework will be written in red ink.

6 Behavior management  We believe in praising the students as much as possible. We use a checkbook system with the money being used to purchase passes at the end of every month.  We practice good manners at all times.  If consequences are required, we use Love and Logic and the school wide 5 step discipline plan.
