1 Kinetiq Canada Savage Data Systems
Smart Assistant Kinetiq Canada Savage Data Systems

2 Good Morning Kinetiq Canada Limited Savage Data Systems Jim Steele CEO
Ron Savage President Both companies have been active in the utility market for several years with many of you as customers. Introduce us and company

3 Your #1 request ‘the VEE functions and AMI performance should be considered highest priority, requiring the AMI interface to be the first functionality implemented for ODS’ Reaffirm their priority and assure we can deliver

4 Some of the first options to be considered are integration with OMS and WFM to ensure that work orders are not being created for the purpose of servicing meters which have been disconnected for non-payment (for example). Integration to some degree will be required with WFM and OMS for this purpose. Mention that SA design has capabilities to work with the WFM & OMS

5 Today’s Demo Thank you to Milton and Veridian
for allowing us to use their interval data Thank Milton & Veridian and mention we are using real live interval data

6 Today’s Demo From the perspective of the dashboard
Watch CMEP files process Confirm the Verification process Discover the Estimate process Cut to the SA dashboard and start files processing

7 Before file processing begins.

8 Today’s Demo View the integration and solutions AMI/AMCC CIS
Outage management Workforce management Meter reading management Discuss the integration with systems.

9 Today’s Demo Validation, Estimating & Editing On demand reads
Data Analysis including aggregation System Reporting (cont.) Billing schedule Bill Request and response Comparison bills Queries Custom Ad hoc Reinforce that VEE is ready now

10 Today’s Demo Meter Event Management Transition to Provincial MDM/R
Reports available Indicators for OMS and WFM interfaces Power outage handling & filters Transition to Provincial MDM/R Smart Assistant is ready for MDM/R reports And finally we will show you

11 Smart Assistant Operational Data Store
Overview of operation

12 Smart Meter Experience
Worked with early implementers of Smart Meters by helping them store and analyse the interval data coming from the AMCC Newmarket –trail and early implementation Horizon – trial and early implementation Milton – implementation and current MDM/R report interpretation Veridian – trial, pre MDM/R implementation Emphasis our expertise

13 Smart Assistant Suite Methodology
Use as many standards from the planned MDM/R as possible to avoid duplication for LDC Use industry standard software where possible Keep the ‘nice to have’ features to a minimum Develop applications as identified by user Review our methodology

14 Smart Assistant Suite is ready now!
AMI interface fully compliant with Sensus & Elster as well as others Dashboard showing AMI performance indicators with drill down working VEE fully functional to Provincial standards Reporting package showing all meter events and errors Additional features ready or in beta test overview

15

16 Smart Assistant Suite Import interval data from AMCC
Import synchronization files from CIS Analyse Smart Meters output for Missing intervals Missing meters Meter health and events VEE Overview of flow and emphasise that sync file not needed to get started

17 Demo View the Smart Assistant Suite in action Explore the reports
Discover the problems Execute the solution Cut to the SA dashboard and start files processing

18 VEE complete.

19 Demo View the integration and solutions AMI/AMCC CIS Outage management
Workforce management Meter reading management Discuss the integration with systems.

20 Smart Assistant Suite Using exceptions identified by Smart Assistant information can be prepared for export to a third party Workforce Management System Using information sent by the AMCC information can be prepared for export to a third party Outage Management System Using information sent by the CIS system SA can filter requests to 3rd party WFM or OMS

21 Quick Review of the Meter Register flow

22 Review WMS and OMS flow

23 Demo Validation, Estimating & Editing On demand reads
Data Analysis including aggregation Demo VEE overview and PVW aggregation

24 Demo System Reporting (cont.) Billing schedule
Bill Request and response Comparison bills Queries Custom Ad hoc

25 Demo Meter Event Management Reports available
Indicators for OMS and WFM interfaces Power outage handling & filters Demo meter event reports etc

26 Demo Transition to Provincial MDM/R
Smart Assistant is ready for MDM/R reports And finally we will show you how SA handles MDM/R reports

27 What we will do Provide a complete ASP service
Only an AS2 software package is required by the LDC 24 hour access via secure web browser Complete back up Transition to MDM/R report interpretation Reaffirm what RPP is all about

28 What we will do Allow you to explore Smart Assistant with your interval data for a week or so (NDA required) Provide up to 90 days after signing contract to cancel if SA does not work as claimed Bonus features

29 The path planned for you by the Government

33 Smart Assistant Suite Receives synchronization files from CIS and set up account/meter expectations Receives CMEP/Elster interval data files from AMCC and processes the kWh into database Provides reports & exceptions from high level to detail in accordance with the IESO/MDMR standards Applies the Ontario Standard VEE process to all interval data with reporting at the same level as the MDMR

34 Smart Assistant Suite Synchronization files from CIS are required at some point but not required to start using SmartAsssitant CMEP/Elster interval data files from AMCC are required but an interim custom interface can be developed Dashboard is available and working now Meter event tracking is available and working

35 Smart Assistant Suite Allows drill down to actual problems
Allows edit of problems and recreates a CMEP/Elster file for reprocessing Accepts billing request file (MDMR pull) from CIS and then reports on status of accounts requested Prepares the billing response file (MDMR pull) and provides the report of accounts billed/not billed Transfers the billing response file back to the CIS

36 Smart Assistant Suite Using web based PowerView all/any interval data (VEE hourly) can be graphed, aggregated, costed by HOEP or RPP TOU compared overlayed Using Smart Assistant billing module a comparison bill (RPP to RPPTOU) for any meter can be prepared All data can be exported or printed

37 Smart Assistant Suite Since the Smart Assistant Suite uses the same file and report structures that are in use by the IESO MDM/R IT development for the smart Assistant Suite is reusable when you enrol in the MDM/R Staff trained for SmartAsssitant will be trained for the MDM/R No custom interfaces are required to be abandoned when you switch to the MDM/R

38 Smart Assistant Suite Since the Smart Assistant Suite uses the same file and report structures that are in use by the IESO MDM/R All costs associated with the development setup and interfaces for SmartAsssitant should be recoverable. CIS Vendor should have most standard interfaces already developed. Transition to MDM/R should be easy.

39 Smart Assistant Suite After MDM/R implementation Smart Assistant accepts reports from the MDMR and presents them in a readable format allowing drill down to actual problem Edit of the problem and a creation of a new CMEP\Elster file for export back to the MDM/R notification of report receipt and errors to user selected responders

40 Before file processing begins.

41 File processing begins.

42 Part Way through processing.

43 MEP file processing completed

44 AMI reports now running . Note Yellow idiot light.

45 Light now green reports are ready..

46 Verification begins.

47 VEE complete.

48 Manual import of reports . Normally automatic
