2 Multiconn Srl 2 Installation: WARNING: before installing the DAS ® tuner verify that the system of the car MUST be professional and not Business. With Business system the TV tuner does not work. To unlock the system use an interface or contact directly an official BMW center. BMW – CCC system DAS ® 1.To install the DAS ® receiver, refer to the specific user manual; Pay attention on the connection of the power supply cable: RED wire (fig.3) must be DISCONNECTED. - RED wire (fig.3) must be DISCONNECTED. The switch (ON/OFF) of the receiver will be controlled by the Fiber-Optic activity The switch (ON/OFF) of the receiver will be controlled by the Fiber-Optic activity (fig.1) - YELLOW wire (fig.1) must be connected to the +12V permanent/battery (fig.2) - BLACK wire (fig.2) must be connected to the GND. The CCC unit location on dashboard (fig.10) and the rear side (fig.11). 10 10 9.1 9.1 11 11 DASfig.9.1 Insert the 2 female crimped pins of DAS cable (fig.9.1 DCABMQS- RCA) inside the black 12P housing and then in white Fakra cover. If the connectors are already available in the unit, just connect the pins in the pin-out position recommended below. + pin 4 Insert the wire with label + in pin 4 (positive signal). - pin 2 Insert the wire with label - inside the pin 2 (negative signal). andDAS If the pin 2 and 4 are already used by the rear camera, disconnect them and connect to a yellow RCA to video-IN 1 on DAS receiver. To shift automatically the signal from TV to REAR CAMERA, connect the green wire of the power supply cable (refer to the DAS user manual) directly to the rear camera installed inside the vehicle. 5 User Manual: Multiconn Srl 5 (fig.12)(fig.13) Before coding the TV function using an aftermarket OBD interface, please check if the OEM start-up screen (with logo BMW) has a background grey/silver colour (fig.12); if the colour is brown (fig.13) go directly to an official BMW service to upgrade the entertainment software of the car. 12 12 13 13 brown colour necessary upgrade the software in a BMW service BMW – CCC system

6 Multiconn Srl 6 DAS Enterntainment TV To enter in DAS TV tuner with the iDrive select Enterntainment and select TV (like the original TV Tuner). WARNING:For the basic settings such as color, contrast, brightness and format, please refer to the menu of the car and make sure that the format is congruent with the set menu on the DAS. 7 With the CCC platform, we can find 2 iDrive versions: Controlled - Controlled : where iDrive rotation is bound, not free; Free running - Free running : where iDrive rotation is free in both directions; controlled”free running” To use the iDrive “controlled” in “free running” mode, operate in the following way: Press the iDrive after to have selected TV; Autostore Then will appear a graphic overlay with Autostore message; Autostore free running” Wait 2/3 seconds till the message Autostore disappears; by this time the iDrive is changed in “free running” Important: the other menu of the car are now not available To return in controlled mode and use the other menu of the car, press the iDrive again.
