14 Can, Can`t, or Couldn`t 1.Can is used to express possibility or ability in the present. They can travel wherever they want. 2. Can`t is the negative of can. I can`t tell my friend I`m coming. 3. Could is used to express ability or possibility. He could lead a normal life. 4.Couldn`t is the negative of could. 15 6. The base form of the verb with can could & couldn`t is always used. He can travel whatever he wants. He could lead a normal life.
