Range of approaches: Decision-making Experiential learning Games Investigation and inquiry Modelling Predict, observe, explain (POE) Problem-solving Research Simulation Moving image clips, documents, line drawings, paintings or maps, photographs or audio files of songs or broadcasts. Licensed from a range of cultural institutions, including the National Film and Sound Archive, National Library of Australia and CSIRO. Learning design embedded – specific learning outcomes; scoffolded; feedback; promote higher order thinking No embedded learning design – include descriptions, interpretations of their educational value teachers decide how to use them.

Scootle – Online system for teachers only - Find TLF content > save content > provide access to students Scootle Manager (for each school) Registration email register with your ntschools email address Do not share your Scootle login

DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING www.det.nt.gov.au Assessment learning objects Developed as a result of requests from teachers Learning objects – designed to teach concepts and skills Assessment learning objects – based on a set of learning objects but ASSESS what students have learned as a result of using the learning objects. - provide teachers with assessment data All have ‘assessment’ as part of title Scootle Advanced search > select ‘Title only’ and enter “assessment”. More and more assessment LOs being developed in literacy, numeracy and Science.
