11 Subject Search Drag & Drop books to create resource list for easy bibliography. Click on links for additional resources. Double click on any book cover for more information.

22 Search by Lexile Score Lexile shows reading ability and text difficulty. Students receive their lexile range from MAP testing. Enter a range of numbers to find a list of books within that measure.

23 Lexile List In this example, there are 1349 books in the library within the Lexile range

24 Visual Search Visual Search is set up in each building either by the Teacher-Librarian or by teacher request to easily access books for a particular area of instruction, assignment, or even a group of similar books. The Visual Search varies from building to building.

25 Copy Categories Copy categories are lists of books set up by Teacher-Librarians to make a search for a particular book easier, or simply bibliographies of good books to read. Like the Visual Search, categories vary from building to building.

Enter Search criteria Click on One Search to search the databases provided by AEA and databases selected by the building’s Teacher-Librarian

Databases include: World Book Online SIRS (Social Issue Resource Series) Researcher EBSCO AP Image Archive Accu-Weather Atomic Learning Clipart Discovery Education

28 Student Login Username = student ID number Password = last name
Student must be logged in to their individual school to look at their personal information or place a hold on a book. One does not need to login to browse the catalog.

29 Student Library Information Available through Catalog
Student needs to click on Logout button when done. “My Info” Tab Lists Items Checked Out Overdue Items Fines for Late Materials Items on Hold.

30 Resource Lists Create citation lists (bibliographies)
Creates personal list for the student Find desired materials Click on “Add to this List”

31 Resource Lists Click on “Resource List” on the left to see the list of selected materials Click at the bottom to create a “Citation List” or “Bibliography”

32 Citation List Citation list is in MLA format.
Student no longer needs to type citation list or to find internet site to create a list.

Catalog or Destiny Quest – either catalog gives students great access to school library catalogs anywhere there is an internet connection. Search, Browse, Place on a book on Hold, Check your information – easy to do at school, at home, or while on vacation.
