5 Dativreflexiv Involes a body part Body part takes the accusative case and the person takes the dative reflexive I broke my arm. He hurt his leg. They sprained their ankle We injured our back Y’all brush your teeth twice a day You brush your hair everyday

6 Akkusativ Reflexiv Do NOT involve a body part. They take the accusative reflexive pronouns Beispiel: Ich fühle mich gut. They are excited about the weekend I injured myself this weekend We nourish ourselves correctly Y’all don’t feel well You stay fit by walking She always injures herself at school

7 Dativ und Akkusativ Reflexiv Verb This depends on whether there is a body part of not. Akkusative: Ich habe MICH verletzt. Dativ: Ich habe MIR das Knie verletzt. We broke our foot. They sprained their ankle. He injured himself He didn’t break anything Y’all feel good

8 Reflexiv oder nicht? I wash the T-shirt. He washes his hands. She brushes her hair. We clean the windows. He brushes his teeth. We brush/comb the dog. He broke the chair.

9 Imperativ Command “Du” commands lose the –ST and the DU “Ihr” commands are the same as the IHR form of the verb Sie (formal) commands are the same as the verb forms but inverted

10 Imperativ Go home! (Du Form) Bring me the pencil! (Du Form) Clean your rooms. (Ihr Form) Bring me the clothes. (Ihr Form) Go to the hospital (Sie formal) Sleep 8 hours. (Sie formal) Wash your hands. (Ihr Form) Don’t injure yourself! (Du Form)
