And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s offspring, heirs according to the promise.

Collective action and shared responsibility for driving gender equality is what makes International Women's Day successful. Gloria Steinem, world-renowned feminist, journalist and activist once explained "The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organisation but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights." but gender equality is still over 200 years away
Started by the Suffragettes in the early 1900's, the first International Women's Day was celebrated in International Women's Day provides an important opportunity for ground breaking action that can truly drive greater change for women.

Some discussion ideas …
Do you think that men and women are equal? Why?
What do you think about gender equality still being over 200 years away?
What is the best way to campaign for equality?
Discussion techniques - Go back to the Bible passage ask “How does the theme link with the Bible passage?”
Discuss the question in pairs for 30 seconds then invite a response from each pair.
Use quick-fire answers e.g. throw a soft bean bag / toy to a student, when they answer they throw it back and you quickly throw to another student.
Simplify the question - Invite quick one-word answers, write them on the board, then reflect on the answers – see connections.
