There will also be a fancy dress competition

5. Equality and Diversity Day Bunting Each form will be given a bunting triangle to decorate on the theme of Happiness– this should be personal to your form group. Be as creative as possible as your form’s material will be added to every other form group’s piece.

One of the charities that we are fundraising for on the last day of term is the Chartwell Cancer Trust.
The Chartwell Cancer Trust is a local registered charity that supports the Chartwell Cancer and Leukaemia Unit in The Princess Royal University Hospital, Farnborough.
Don’t forget to bring in £1.

11. Engage
Video suggestion … Ways to fundraise (a Save the Children video but the principles are the same).
Some discussion ideas …
What is the best way to raise funds for a charity? Share your ideas.
Why do we need charities in the UK? Why not just raise more money in taxes?
Discussion techniques - Go back to the Bible passage ask “How does the theme link with the Bible passage?”
Discuss the question in pairs for 30 seconds then invite a response from each pair.
Use quick-fire answers e.g. throw a soft bean bag / toy to a student, when they answer they throw it back and you quickly throw to another student.
Simplify the question - Invite quick one-word answers, write them on the board, then reflect on the answers – see connections.
Young people raise funds for the trust
Activity suggestion … Maybe make some plans for fundraising at school for the next school year.
