5. Engage
Not everyone wants to run a marathon to help the charity they support, but most people enjoy a good meal out or in, with colleagues, friends or family.
Help raise awareness of spinal cord injury and raise money for Spinal Injuries Association by eating fish and chips for your lunch or dinner on Spinal Cord Injuries Awareness Day.
It’s also a great way to celebrate our favourite foods.

If you could fry anything in batter, what would you fry?
Discussion techniques - Go back to the Bible passage ask “How does the theme link with the Bible passage?”
Discuss the question in pairs for 30 seconds then invite a response from each pair.
Use quick-fire answers e.g. throw a soft bean bag / toy to a student, when they answer they throw it back and you quickly throw to another student.
Simplify the question - Invite quick one-word answers, write them on the board, then reflect on the answers – see connections.
Activity suggestion … Organise a fundraising meal for charity – maybe with family or friends.
