Established in 1873 as Punjab College Library Converted to Punjab University Library in 1882 Started its collection from 2000 Shifted to Quaid-e-Azam Campus in 1988 Pakistan’s largest collection having almost half a million items

7 Some Important rules Timings 8:00am. To 9:00 pm.
No entry without digital card Guests are not allowed No bags and belongings allowed Keep cell phones silent Printed material not allowed No edibles are allowed Don’t reshelf the books Beware of book security system Meetings and group discussions not allowed Watch the flex signs and notice boards Cooperate with library staff In case of any problem contact front desk of library

Internet Lab Membership 100 Rs. per annum Library is not responsible for any data loss due Every activity at your computer is being monitored so be careful Messengers, Facebook and Youtube are not allowed

11 Registration Students Lists: Membership Form: Issuance Rules:
Registration is being started on arrival of Complete Students Lists along with Expiry Dates Membership Form: Fill your profile Attestation & Signature Current Picture Issuance Rules: Text Books for 3 days only (One at a time) General books for 14 Days Max 3 books for B category & 4 for C category One Month for Teachers Students will be responsible for any damage to the book 1 Rupee Per book per day is charged on overdue A price of three times is collected on lost books

Find books & Bring at Circulation Counter Show PU Library Card Signature on Borrower Card Receive t he Gate Pass Note: torn, distorted & reference books are not issued Clearance Desk: Defaulter List, Over due books, Fines and Clearance Thesis & Text Books Desk: Not available at Open Shelves Theses can not be photocopied
