3 Scheduling Process  Course selections online – use Power School account  Scheduling dates – January 25 through February 1  Required courses – teacher recommendations  Fourteen one semester requests – a full year course requires two one semester selections

7 Sample Sophomore Selections  English 10/Pre-AP English 10  Mathematics  Science  Social Studies (if not currently enrolled)  Health/Speech  Four semesters of electives (include World Language for an Academic Honors Diploma)

12 Troubleshooting  Cannot select the course I want – check to see if you have completed pre-requisites or if you need a teacher recommendation  Do not have fourteen one semester requests – check your elective selections again or wait to speak with your counselor  Not sure what to take – wait to speak with your counselor

13 What’s Next?  Counselors will begin meeting with students on February 2  Course change requests will be accepted until March 15. After 3/15 change requests will be honored on a seat available basis  Course change deadline – May 1, 2016 – no requests for changes will be honored after that date  Plan for course selections – have questions ready for your counselor.
