4 Intrapersonal Communication  In order to successfully communicate with others you must first learn to communicate with yourself. Intrapersonal communication is the most basic level of communication. You must understand who you are and what you think of yourself.

12 Group Communication Practice  Let’s split the room into groups.  You have 15 minutes to elect these positions…  Group President  Group Vice President  Group Secretary  Group Treasurer  Security  Everyone else must be delegated to be on the staff of the 5 positions.

13 Group tasks….  Team name  Develop a group motto  Create a group symbol or logo  Select your group colors  Make your group rules and regulations.

14 Group Communication  Group communication is the type of communication that occurs when people participate in a group for social or work purposes.  What makes a group work better and more efficient?  When we get into groups the rest of the year this will be your group.

15 Public Communication  Public Communication examples?  When speaking in public you need to be informed and organized.  You must connect with your audience.  Your speeches could inform, persuade, and debate.

16 Interpretive Communication  If someone will volunteer to do an interpretive communication example you will get 3 BONUS points. If someone will volunteer to do an interpretive communication example you will get 3 BONUS points.  Interpretive communication involves bringing literature to life for your audience.  You should understand the written material very well, and know how to present it interestingly to your listeners.
