4 What is the LCFF and LCAP? New Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) California’s new formula for determining state funding allocations to districts to support their general and supplemental programs. Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) LCFF’s vehicle for transparency and engagement. School districts are expected to share performance data, needs, actions, and anticipated outcomes that guide the use of available LCFF funding. New Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) California’s new formula for determining state funding allocations to districts to support their general and supplemental programs. Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) LCFF’s vehicle for transparency and engagement. School districts are expected to share performance data, needs, actions, and anticipated outcomes that guide the use of available LCFF funding.

5 Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Funding through LCFF drives the LCAP and is targeted toward improving student achievement for all students. Base Funding All students Supplemental Grants Additional funds for under-performing subgroups Concentration Grants Further funds for districts with 55% or higher under-performing subgroup populations* * RUSD does not qualify for Concentration Grants at this time

6 RUSD’s Significant Subgroups English Learners (EL) Based on Home Language Survey and California English Language Development Test (CELDT) Reclassified students (Fluent English Proficient) will no longer generate additional funding Low Income (LI) Qualify based on free and reduced price meals Foster Youth are automatically eligible

10 School Site Plans Specific actions included in the LCAP, or the annual update of the LCAP, must be consistent with the strategies included in school plans. [EC Section 64001] Districts are responsible for reviewing school site plans to ensure this consistency.
