7. G ETTING ORGANIZED FOR CSU / UC … 1) Get transcripts from all schools attended. 2) Get scores from ALL standardized tests. Naviance may have unofficial scores for your reference. 3) Collect all extracurricular activity information. 4) Write essays for UCs. Remember, no essay for CSUs.

21. Early Applications- Paperwork Complete all at least three weeks before deadline. Step 1: Request transcripts on Naviance. Step 2: Complete transcript request form. Step 3: Bring it to Mrs. Lopez starting Wednesday, September 23 rd before school; at lunch, after school or Period 6 if you have it free. Step 4: Make an appointment w/your counselor. Step 5: Request teacher letters in person. Step 6: Request teacher letters via Naviance.

26. LJHS Protocol - Teacher Letter of Recommendation Requests See your teacher in- person first. Request in Naviance after. Please do so at least 3+ weeks before the deadline. Write a THANK YOU note!

27. Non-LJHS Teacher Letter of Recommendation Requests 1) Contact your teacher in- person or via email first. If they say “yes”… 2) Provide stamped and addressed envelopes to the schools you are applying. You may place these in a large folder or envelope with a list of the schools. Then, write a THANK YOU note!
