2 2 Seating Sit in assigned seat each day. Please tell me if there is a serious problem (difficult seeing, hearing, etc.) and I will do my best to accommodate you. You will be assigned lab partners later.

3 3 Bathroom Use the pass in the back of the room. One person out of the room at a time. If the pass is gone, don’t leave. As long as you are responsible with this arrangement, your bathroom/ locker/water visits won’t be limited.

6 6 Grades (Academic) tests (~ 100 points each) frequent quizzes (~ 10 points each) lab work homework extra credit only available on quizzes and tests

7 7 Grades (Work Habits) Based on work turned in on time and complete 2 points per assignment if on time and complete or late with a parent note 1 point for incomplete or late (no parent note) 0 points for over one class past due or no work done at all O (>90%) S (>80%) N (>70%) U (<70%)

8 8 Grades (Citizenship) Tardy to class Not prepared for class Excessive talking Not cleaning up lab/desk area Disrespectful to other students and/or substitutes Chewing gum or eating food in class O (0-2) S (3-4) N (5-6) U (7 or more)

9 9 Absences/Tardy Tardy means not in class when the bell rings. Student handbook procedure followed for excessive tardies. Absent work made up by next class period after return. Labs made up during class or at lunch. Tests made up day you return.

10 10 Study Skills Check website frequently, use the resources there. Get notes from reliable source. Have friend pick up worksheet(s). Course moves fast, don’t get caught in the snowball.

11 11 Pay Attention! Frequent quiz next class on today’s information. Get parent letter signed. Relax and try to enjoy the next 86 class periods.
